Romance Writers Weekly ~ Photos of Travel

#lovechatwrite

Hello everybody! I hope your Monday has been magical. This weekend was nice and warm here, so we were able to ride our bikes to the ice cream store, swim and play at the park.

I just finished up a 100 word flash fiction contest in which I had 24 hours to write a 100 word story with an assigned genre, action, and word. My genre was sci-fi, action was shaking a drink and my word was favor. I think this one turned out pretty well!

Today we’re asked to choose a photo that we’ve taken and that we love. Tell the story behind the photo.

I took this picture when we went to England in 2013. It was such an amazing trip. My husband had a conference and I tagged along and explored all on my own. We were staying in Greenwich and I got to stand on the mean time! When you visit the mean time, you get to see the yearly average of time each day where the sun crosses the Prime Meridian at the Royal Observatory. It was so amazing to see how they built it!

We went into town for some of the trip and that is where I took this picture of Westminster Abbey. It was one of my favorite locations. I loved everything about England and I would definitely go back and explore more.

Another of my favorite photos is this one of Italy. This was taken before I had an iPhone with my digital camera. This trip was our honeymoon and I loved exploring the three different cities. The top one is Venice, the middle is Florence and the bottom is in Rome. My favorite city was Florence, but I would love to go back and visit the Amalfi Coast or go South to Bari and see if I could find our family.

That’s it for me today, now continue on the hop to see what photo the wonderful Jill Haymaker has shared. Until next time!

Don’t forget to grab Jill Haymaker’s book The Boy in the Pink Convertible!
