It’s the day of love! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.

If you missed what the talented PG Forte had to say, just click and pop back.

Today we are asked to share a favourite love story.

My love story, a friend’s love story or a made up one?

I found a list of the top 10 love stories. These are older novels, but so good.

  1. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
  2. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
  3. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
  4. Casablanca by Murray Burnett
  5. A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare
  6. Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak
  7. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
  8. Les Liaisons dangereuses (“Dangerous Liaisons”) by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos
  9. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  10. The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo

Some newer love stories that have become quite the favourites are

  1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
  2. The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
  3. The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Of course we romance writers make up love stories all the time and hope that they will become a great favourite one day.

As for my love story. We fell in love while coaching swimming which is also something we both love. We still love each other and we still love swimming. I know that our love will continue for all the rest of our years.

Well that’s it for me today. Continue on the hop to see what the wonderful Leslie Hachtel has to share about love. Until next time!
