Hello and welcome! It was so hot today that I took my son to the beach in San Francisco. It was unusually warm there for the last week in September. The beautiful Golden Gate Bridge was right in front of us and the city in the background. Now I’m glad I have a chance to sit and do some writing out of the heat. If you missed what talented Brenda Margriet had to say just click and pop back!

Today I ask my fellow authors: If you had to give up something – TV? Wine? Starbucks? What would it be and share how you handle it (or don’t).

Oh this is a tough one… At one point I thought I could give up chocolate, but then I laughed really hard and ate a piece of See’s chocolate. I could never give that up. I’ve tried to limit it at times, but that’s the best I could do.

I would like to say I could give up TV, however, there are a lot of great shows. So that’s out. I think the one thing I could give up would be Starbucks. I know, I know crazy! I drink very little coffee in the morning. Usually it’s just half of a cup or one of those mini espresso cups. When I was pregnant I only drank decaf, so it wasn’t the caffeine I needed. After I soon realized that I was drinking a lot of Starbucks and spending A LOT of money! We’ve definitely cut back and this is one thing I think I could give up.

Don’t get me wrong, I would grumble and complain but I think I could do it. But then again…

I love the ritual of meeting friends for coffee. But i I had to choose between that and chocolate, then chocolate always wins!
