Hello and welcome to the blog hop! Summer has come to an end, kids are going back to school, and the temperatures are cooling down. (Well sort of…) It’s still pretty warm here in northern California. I’m definitely ready for cooler weather. I like to sleep with blankets on.
It’s just me and the wonderful Leslie Hachtel today and I pose this question:
Did you do anything fun this summer; a vacation, camping? Was there anything you wanted to do that you didn’t get a chance to do?
We didn’t really get a chance to do anything this summer as we’ve been on a budget. However, there has been a couple of free things like outdoor concerts and a zoo day which my son enjoyed.
Hanging out with friends has been really nice. We get together and have BBQ’s and play games. Sometimes those things are better than spending money.
I know September isn’t summer, but I get to go to my cousin’s wedding in Chicago. I’m super excited for that. I haven’t seen my cousins in at least 10 years! I’ve only been to Chicago once and ready to explore some more. My dad is coming with me so it will be nice to spend some time with him.
I’m hoping to save a bit of money for next summer and go on a camping trip or back to St. John’s for a couple of weeks. We haven’t had the chance to go back since we moved away, so I’m looking forward to it.
