Romance Writers Weekly – Falling into Autumn

Hello and welcome to the weekly blog hop! I hope everyone has enjoyed the long weekend. We got to celebrate my son’s 4th birthday in our backyard and then go to an A’s game, where they won! It was exciting to bring him to his first baseball game.

It’s just me and the wonderful Leslie Hachtel today and she provides the topic. Today she asks:

Summer is coming to a close. What is your favorite part of autumn and why do you look forward to it every year?

I love autumn! The days are still warm, but the nights get cooler. You can play all day in the sun and then at night put on a sweatshirt and sit around with friends. In the fall I finally get to sleep with covers on and I love covers! We keep our windows open to get the cool air and snuggle.

I like the afternoon hikes you can always take and not get too hot. You can still eat ice cream and not get too cold. Then the fall coffee flavours come back and it’s nice to enjoy a warm coffee on a cool day.

However, I think my favourite thing about fall is watching the leaves change colours. Everything about the crunching of leaves beneath my feet, to the smell, and then the colours, oh the colours! Red, yellow, orange, and magenta. You can take so many beautiful pictures.

My parents’ street has the most amazing trees in the fall. I love turning onto the court and just seeing a blast of fall colour before my eyes.

What is your favourite part of fall? Let me know!

Now continue on with the incredible Leslie Hachtel and find out what she loves about autumn. Until next time.
