Romance Writers Weekly ~ Indulge Me!

Hello and welcome to my fellow authors and readers. It’s been cold here, so we’ve just been trying to stay warm. I’ve started coaching swim team again. Since it’s in the evening, it gets quite chilly. I was bundled up in many layers this past evening. It’s nice to be sitting on my couch with a warm blanket over me as I write this and watch the Great British Baking Show.

Today we are asked: What is your favorite indulgence? A spa day, an outdoor adventure, a glass of wine after a long day?

I do love me some chocolate! Sometimes in the evening I’ll take a little piece of dark chocolate and sit and enjoy it. I also enjoy taking long hot bubble baths. Recently I bought a caddy for the bath which holds a book or kindle, a spot for my phone if I so choose and a place for my wine glass. It’s perfect and quiet.

If someone wants to send me for a spa day, that would be wonderful. I haven’t had a massage in so long and definitely need one. One of my favorite indulgences is to read in bed with a cup of coffee next to me. Sometimes I get the chance to do that on the weekend mornings and it relaxes me.

Don’t forget to hop forward to see the incredible Leslie Hachtel’s favorite indulgence is and take a look at her book Hannah’s War.

Running, running. Hannah Mason’s nostrils burned from the stinging smoke of a nearby plantation scorching into ruins. The hazy blackness of the night filled her vision, making it impossible to see more than a foot or two ahead. Still she ran. The Yankee soldiers bent on looting and destruction called out to each other, the harshness of their words not softened by the lilt of the southern tongue, but she did not fear them.  The devil she feared was the one who promised to love her.
