Romance Writers Weekly – Fun Ideas!

Hello and welcome to the blog hop! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. We of course stayed at home, but we did get dressed up, hid eggs for our son and took pictures for our daughters’ first Easter. My parents came up and took distance pictures and we chatted for a while, it was very nice.

If you missed what the amazing Leslie Hachtel had to say just click and pop back.

Today the talented Leslie asks us: Name five fun things to do while staying at home.

Since we’ve been at home for about a month I’ve had to come up with a lot of different things to do to keep occupied. I have to homeschool my son right now, so that’s been interesting. Here are five other things I’ve been doing:

  1. Cleaning up our house. We’ve gone through the garage, clothes. I’ve ordered wall paper for my laundry room and I’m going to attempt that. We shall see how it goes.
  2. Puzzles!!! We just finished a 1,000 piece puzzle that we’ve been working on for ages. I bought a Star Wars one, so I can’t wait to start that.
  3. Reading. I’m trying really hard to get reading in. It’s hard with the kids but even if I’m super tired I’ll read a chapter. I love to read and I just finished The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern.
  4. I’ve been doing some writing and trying to keep up with that. The blog helps. I also entered a writing contest and I have to write a short story. I’ve got about 1100 words and still rolling. Wish me luck!
  5. Movies and shows. I just watched Anne with an E on Netflix. It’s not the same Anne of Green Gables that I grew up with but I got into it. We are also watching The Witcher and of course rewatching The Office.

Well there is my list of things I’m doing to keep busy. My family and I have also been going for walks and my son loves to ride his bike so I’ve been taking him out on bike rides. I also made my first loaves of bread! It was delicious and I can’t wait to bake some more. It’s been an interesting month that’s for sure. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with some of these items with things go back to a new normal.

That’s it for me today, now continue on the hop to see what the incredible A.S. Fenichel has to say. Until next time!

Check out today’s deal with author A.S. Fenichel. The first book in her Demon Hunter’s Series is on sale for only .99 cents!

The Demon Hunters, #1

When demons threaten London, Lady Belinda answers the call.

Lord Gabriel Thurston returns home from war to find his fiancée is not the sweet young girl he left behind. She’s grown into a mysterious woman who guards her dark secrets well. When he sees her sneaking away from a ball, he’s convinced it’s for a lover’s rendezvous. Following her to London’s slums, Gabriel watches in horror as his fiancée ruthlessly slay a man.

Lady Belinda Clayton’s only concern was her dress for the next ball–until demons nearly killed her and changed everything. A lady by day, and a demon hunter by night, she knows where her duty lies. Ending her betrothal is the best way to protect Gabriel from death by a demon’s hand.

Gabriel soon realizes, like him, Belinda has been fighting for her country. He joins in the fight, determined to show her that their love can endure, stronger than ever.
