Romance Writers Weekly ~ Time to Relax

Hello fellow readers! It’s so great to be back! We took a bit of a break but now we are ready to swing back into the blog hop.

The fires are back in California. I’d hoped we would have a bit a reprieve this year, but no such luck. It’s hot and the air is smoky. The kids are back in school and they have to wear masks but that’s okay. My son loves to be back, he’s so happy learning and socializing and his teacher is fantastic!

If you missed what the incredible A.S. Fenichel had to say, just click and pop back. She’s also the instigator of today’s question:

Getting into the dog days now. What do you do to relax? Is it a hobby, laying about in the sun or something else? How do you unwind and how does it feed your soul?

Well one of my favourite things to do is read. When it’s super hot, I sit outside under the fan with a nice cold glass of wine and read. I also like to swim. Summer is the best time to swim because you can just dry off in the sun! Movies are a good form of relaxation too.

To really unwind it would be laying on the beach with wine and a good book. However, the weather can’t be too warm otherwise I’d be too hot and being sweaty isn’t relaxing, haha.

Going to the theatre to see a movie is a nice way to cool down and relax. After more than a year out of the theatre we got to go see Black Widow. It was amazing!

I’d love to see what everyone else does to relax. Continue on the blog hop to see what the amazing Caro Kinkead does. Until next time!

Now check out Caro’s release “A Summer Quest in the Summer Pleasures anthology.

I’m thrilled my story, “A Summer Quest” is part of this anthology from #TheNewRomanceCafe to help raise money in support of breast cancer research. Join us for tales of passion, intrigue, and love beneath the summer stars.
