Romance Writers Weekly – Time For Books!

Welcome to the blog hop and the second week of isolation for us. The first week went pretty well. We played outside a lot! I think it was a little harder on my son because he wanted to play with the neighbours who were also out but we let them run away from each other. However, this did lead to tears from our younger neighbour who didn’t understand why everyone was running away from her. At least we are able to get outside and do some exercise.

If you missed what the incredible Brenda Margriet had to say, just click and pop back. Or continue on the hop to the talented Leslie Hachtel and come back around.

Today the amazing Brenda asks us to list some favourite books:

What’s your favourite book that “no one” has heard of? That’s a tongue in cheek way of asking you to name your favourite book that isn’t a classic or by an author that consistently sits on the best seller lists. It can be fiction or non-fiction.

I have quite a few books that are my favourite. One of them is The Rowan by Anne McCaffrey. I reread this book every couple of years since I bought it many years ago. It is the first book in a series, although it can be read as a standalone. It has a good happily ever after. It’s a compelling story about The Rowan and how she makes her way through the world. The series is really good if you get a chance!

Another set of books that I love are the Night World Series by L.J. Smith. She writes about witches, vampires, werewolves and soulmates. I think that is my favourite part about each book. Each character gets a chance to find their soulmate. It has nine books and a tenth one was supposed to be written, but I don’t know if that is going to happen as the series came out more than twenty years ago. She is the author who wrote the Vampire Diaries.

I know this one is probably a popular one but I just love Anne Of Green Gables. I will read this book every couple of years as well. I watch the movie at some point every year. It has become a staple. I just love everything about Anne Shirley.

Well that’s it for me today! I hope you enjoy some new reads or some ones you’ve read before. Now continue on the hop, until next time!
