Romance Writers Weekly ~ These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things

Welcome fall! Yay, it’s almost sweater weather. We had a super hot 95 degree day on the first day of fall but now it is much cooler and we can sleep with the windows open. It’s so nice!

I spent this past weekend with my sister in law and other bridesmaids in Napa to celebrate her upcoming nuptials. It was so much fun! We ate outdoors at some great restaurants, drank wine, went on a bike ride and managed to talk to the guard at the gate to pop in and see the last 30 min of an outdoor John Fogerty concert. It was pretty awesome and everyone had a great time!

If you missed what the wonderful Brenda Margriet had to say just click and pop back.

Today A.S. Fenichel poses this question to us:

What’s your favorite thing about being a writer and why?

One of my favourite things about being a writer is seeing the characters come to life before my eyes. They often start with just eyes, mouth, hair and then take off from there. Sometimes I have a name to begin, other times the name comes along the way as their personalities develop. I love delving deep into the characters. Sometimes I plan out their every move and other times their actions happen as I’m writing.

Another favourite of writing is putting my thoughts out on the page. My mind gets so jumbled and it helps me to write out poems, it clears my mind and I can continue on.

I love the creativity that comes with writing. I can write anything I want! If I don’t like it I can return later and fix it or write something completely different.

Now off to more writing. Continue on the hop to see what the incredible Caro Kinkead has to say. Until next time!
