Romance Writers Weekly ~ Bring on Fall!

When it rains, it pours! This has been an accurate quote of daily life around here. We just had major maintenance on our car and then once we got it back the starter doesn’t seem to be working. My husband and I got stuck in the grocery store parking lot. Luckily my parents were driving my son back up from a sleep over and they came to help us out. It’s been a major pain!

At least I can escape with reading and writing. Today A.S. Fenichel says Fall is here in U.S! It’s my favorite season. What do you love about the autumn or do you have another favorite season?

I absolutely love autumn! I love the cooler weather, the leaves changing, sweaters and curling up with a good book. It’s my favourite time of year. The hot summers here are way too warm for me. Even the fall is still very, very warm (we’re talking about 70’s still warm!)

The oranges, yellows and reds are always the prettiest in autumn. Halloween is my favourite holiday. We make over our whole house with decorations, or as my youngest calls them “boos.” Last year we had a giant block party on Halloween. Every house came out with food and music, we all ate in our driveways and then the kids got to walk around the court and get candy. We are doing the same thing this year as well. I think everyone is super excited!

We don’t have a fireplace but I like to put on the fireplace channel and curl up on the couch with a blanket and book. I can sit there for hours.

Just everything about autumn makes me happy. The smells and being around family. Well, that’s it for me today!
