Hello fellow readers and authors! I hope everyone is doing well. It’s been quite busy over here. My son got to go back to school hybrid style. We SO excited! Even though it’s only 2 hours a day, it’s better that he get to be around kids his own age. He will finish the school year this way. I can’t believe how quiet it is around the house, it’s very weird…
Today the incredible Leslie Hachtel asks us: What is your favorite spring flower and why? Is it the scent? A memory?
I love flowers, but I can’t smell them too often otherwise I’ll sneeze. I’m totally a sucker for roses. The different colours are beautiful and the scent is just so deep an aromatic. I had to look it up, the smell roses can have are: violets, apple, clove and lemon. I don’t think I’ve paid that much attention to sniff out those aromas, but now I’m going to.
Another of my favourite is the primrose. They smell like spring; cool but sunny, sweet but slightly tangy. They come in so many colours!
Lilys are so pretty to look at in a bunch of flowers, the scent heavenly.
Those are my top three. I don’t remember when my dad started doing this, but he aways brings home flowers for my mom. They are simple bunches, but I can smell the sweet aromas in the house. It’s such a sweet gesture.
Well that’s it for me.
