Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a good three day weekend if you had one. It seemed like we had loads of time and then all the sudden it’s Monday night and the kids have to go to school tomorrow and I have to get organized. The weather has also been a bit chilly here in northern California. Lots of rain and cloudy skies.

Today we are asked, How many books (stories) do you plan to write in 2024? Is this the same or different from previous years?
My goal this year is to write one full length novel. I wrote a lot of short stories and flash fictions this past year, and I’d like to keep that up. I usually do the writing contests from NYC Midnight. They have a lot of great contests every year and you get feedback for each one.
I have written a novel but it still very much needs to be edited. I would like to edit that one and write another one. My pull has always been to historical romance, but I’ve had a lot of fun writing short stories in romantic comedy. It’s been hard for me to come up with an idea. I feel like all the ideas I’ve had have already been taken. I need to do my own spin on one or something completely new.
I have a couple of months off of coaching swim so during that time, I’m hoping to write and also declutter! There are many things I can donate or just get rid of. I’ll have to write when my kids are in school even though my daughter is only in for two and a half hours. I’m looking forward to this new year.
