Hello and welcome back! I’ve been gone for a few weeks, and it feels good to try and get back into the groove.
We are really suffering here in California with all the fires. First it was too hot to go outside and then the fires hit. Now the air quality is so bad that we still can’t go outside. This is one rough year!
My family and I took a short trip up to Lake Tahoe this past week just to get away and get some fresh air. Luckily the smoke hasn’t permeated into Tahoe yet. We were able to go hiking and to the beach, and walk around enjoying the outdoors.
Today the talented Brenda Margriet asks us:
Falling in love isn’t restricted to twenty-year-olds. Share your favourite book that celebrates the relationship between older characters.
I’ve got to admit I haven’t read a book that focuses on an older couple as the main characters. I’ve read plenty of books that have the older characters falling in love, but they are very much secondary characters.
I just don’t come across them all that often. I’m in a book club and the book we are going to read is centered around forty something women. I’m excited to read this one. It’s called All The Right Mistakes. We also just finished one called the Jane Austen Society and that book had about six/seven main characters of all different ages. There was a late forties couple that found love.
So I guess I’ve read a few. As I get closer to forty and have friends that are forty, I want them to find love. I will have to find some books focusing on an older couple.
Well that’s it for me today. Pop back to the amazing Brenda Margriet or continue on the hop to see what the incredible Clair Brett has to say. Until next time!
