Romance Writers Weekly – Let’s Review a Movie

Welcome to the blog hop! Unique in what we write, we all come together for love. If you missed what the talented Brenda Margriet had to say, just click and pop back.

Today I pose this question to my fellow authors:

Have you seen any good movies this summer? Write a review of one you saw. If you haven’t seen one, tell which one you want to see.

Normally we get the chance to see a lot of movies over the summer, but so far we’ve only seen a couple. I’ve seen Incredibles 2 with my son, and my husband and I were lucky enough to go out on a date to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

I enjoyed both very much! It was fun to see a movie with my son. He didn’t really sit still but he got to eat some popcorn, so he enjoyed that.

Here is my review on Jurassic World:

It’s been about 3 years since the island has been closed. Claire and Owen return to the island to save the dinosaurs before a volcano erupts and kills everything. While there, they discover terrifying new breeds of dinosaurs and a new conspiracy that threatens the world.

The scientist from the first movie is back. He wants to weaponize the dinosaurs and sell them to the highest bidder. It is an action packed movie from start to finish, although more centered on politics than dinosaurs. It will be interesting to see where they take the next movies. If you liked the previous one, I think you will like this one too.

I won’t say anything about the ending except that Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcom makes an appearance which makes the movie even more awesome. However, he does warn them; “Be very afraid.”

I hope I get the chance to see some more movies, but with money tight, we will have to rent them. I’m looking forward to seeing Ant Man and the Wasp, Mission Impossible: Fallout, Deadpool 2, Oceans 8.

That’s it for me today, now continue on the hop and see what movie the incredible Leslie Hachtel is reviewing. Until next time!
