Hello my lovely readers and authors! I hope everyone is doing well. I was struck down last week by the worst sinus infection, the brain fog was unreal. I couldn’t really concentrate on anything. Writing was especially hard and I was in a writing contest! I entered a short story contest where we are assigned a genre, subject and character. My assigned genre was comedy, the subject was penmanship and the character was a prankster. It was interesting to put all those things together, but somehow I did it. I just hope it’s good enough to move onto the next round.

Today we are asked: What is your favourite holiday destination? Mountain, ocean, big city, country?
Oh that is a tough one. I think it definitely depends on the holiday and the type of mood I’m in. When we lived in St. John’s the winters were snowy. One year we headed to Maui for the holidays and it was so nice to be in warm weather and on the beach! We could just sit out and relax and not have a ton of layers on.
Other times we’ve been here in California and it doesn’t get snowy where we live, so we go up to Lake Tahoe where there is snow. It’s fun to put on the snow clothes and jump in the snow or go sledding.
One year I’d love to do a “Ditchmas” and just go someplace random as our present and the vacation. A different county would be pretty amazing, like Italy! We went there for our honeymoon, but I feel like there is so much more to explore. I’d also love to go to Ireland, Scotland, Greece. So many places to visit!
During the Thanksgiving/Christmas season we love to go into San Francisco and walk around. I love that city. Something about it holds my heart. So any chance we get to go there I get very excited. It would be amazing to spend a holiday in the city and just enjoy the sites.
