Romance Writers Weekly – Ever Thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours

Welcome to Tuesday! It’s blog hop day. My son is back in school now, so hopefully that means I get more time to write. I haven’t written as much as I’ve wanted to this summer. I’m ready for my creative juices to start flowing.

If you missed what the talented Brenda Margriet had to say, just click and pop back. Today the incredible Dani Jace asks us:

Love Letters: Have you received any or written any? Has any of your characters written or received any? Share if you dare or make up one to a special someone.

I remember writing a love letter to someone in grade 5 once. I got the reply of “I don’t feel comfortable about love, but I will be your friend.” Well at ten years old, it was crushing! I liked that boy so much.

Usually for my birthday, mother’s day or our anniversary my husband will write me some very nice love notes. I enjoy receiving letters and love letters make it all the more special.

I know lunch box letters aren’t love letters, but those are pretty great too. Whoever made my lunch for the day would leave me a note. It wasn’t fancy, just something like have a good day at school, or be wise as an owl. It always made my day. I will write them to my son when he goes to school.

When my husband and I got married we each wrote our own vows to each other. I took the last three lines of Beethoven’s love letter (they say they don’t know who it was for, but was found at his estate after his death.) The lines were:

Ever thine, Ever mine, Ever ours

I have always loved those words.

I’ve never had a character write a love letter, but now I think I have to. I think it would make the romance even stronger, especially if it were a forbidden love. Hmmmm, perhaps my inspiration is sparked!

Well that’s it for me today. Continue on the hop and see if the amazing Dani Jace has written any love letters. Until next time!
