Romance Writers Weekly – Planned Chaos

Hello and welcome to the blog hop! I hope everyone has had a great week so far. If you missed what the talented Leslie Hachtel had to say, just click and pop back. Today the lovely A.S. Fenichel asks us:

The year is half over! OMG! Tell us about how you organize your world? Do you keep a day planner? Do you use your phone? Is organization important to you or is your life in total chaos and you love it?

First of all, I can’t believe the year is half over! Seriously, where did this year go? I feel like I have so much to do and I’m running out of time. I’m hoping the second half of the year is filled with lots of creativity, inspiration and writing.

I definitely need to keep a day planner. I will forget everything if I don’t have one. I still like the old fashioned way of writing things down, so each year my mom and I will go out and shop for a day planner. We have found a really great brand: Wells St. by Lang. Each year there is a different artist who comes up with the cover and it has a 17 month weekly planner, a storage pocket, tear off lists and 288 stickers to put on! I love this planner.

I also like to have a big calendar on our wall, so I can see everyone’s events. This year’s calendar is Where’s Waldo. It’s been fun trying to find all the characters and items when you are writing down the day’s events. My husband likes his phone, but I still make him tell me what work related jobs he has to do and write them on the wall calendar. Most everything is organized, but sometimes things get a little chaotic and I get disorganized, especially with a 2.5 year old running around crazy. It never bugs me, it just sometimes happens. Even if the day has already passed, I will still write in my planner what I did that day.

So what does the incredible Brenda Margriet do for organization? Continue on the hop and find out, until next time! 🙂
