Romance Writers Weekly – My Favourite Summer Activity

Welcome to the weekly blog hop! I’m surprised I found time to write this between buying a new house, family coming into town and my son’s second birthday! Whew, glad I get to take a break and write. If you missed what Carrie Elks had to say, just click and pop back. This week we are asked:

Summer is winding down. What’s your favorite summer activity? Can you do it at home or does it require travel? Did you get to do it this year? Does the activity ever make it into one of your books?
One of my favourite summer activities is going to the beach, laying in the sand, reading and eventually playing in the water. I unfortunately haven’t had the chance to go to the beach yet, it’s been a busy summer. However, living in California I think we still have a good month of warm weather to go frolic in the sand and water.
When we lived in St. John’s it was easy to get to the beach, maybe 10 minutes away max. It was a COLD beach, but still fun to go to. Now we are about an hour and a half away from a beach so a little more difficult.
I would love to put a water element into a book one day. I’m always around water and love it. Now I just have to think of a story that has water in it. Any ideas?
Short and sweet today! Thanks for joining, now continue on the hop by going to see what Lyra Parish’s favourite summer activity is. Until next time!

  1. You can go wrong with a visit to the beach, Jenna!
