Romance Writers Weekly ~ Writing Spot

Good morning my fellow readers and bloggers. I hope everyone is doing well. The weather is still doing its wacky spring over here where it gets really warm for a couple of days, then cools down. It completely messes with my head going up and down like that. The allergies this year are bad again. I feel like I keep saying each year how bad my allergies are getting, worse than the year before, and I never used to have them. I don’t know if it’s my body getting older or the global warming shifts that are happening. Anyway, onto the blog!

Today we talk about our favourite writing environment. I have a desk upstairs, but it’s in the loft where my bookshelves are, but also all my kids toys! So I don’t have a separate area. I love going to the book store to write, I can plug in my headphones and just type away. When I lived in Newfoundland, the bookstore up there had a fireplace in the cafe area, and I loved sitting there by the warmth and typing up a new story.

I still have yet to find a fireplace here in sunny California. They just built a new Barnes and Noble and it’s reaaaaaaaally nice!! It has tons of seating in the cafe and chairs around the shop to actually sit and read a book! The old book store, you had to sit on the floor and read.

I like to find new places, sometimes I’ll sit outside in my backyard and see if the inspiration hits there. I do love my desk though, it’s right in front of a window, so I can look out and watch people and neighbourhood cars go by.

Well that’s it for me today, now continue on the hop to see where Brenda Margriet’s favourite writing spot is. Until next time!
