Romance Writers Weekly ~ Writing Advice

#lovechatwrite

Hello and welcome to the blog hop! I was out last week but I’m back in today. Swim season has begun in full force and we switch to morning practices next week. I go from not getting home until 845 pm and going to bed super late, to waking up super early to be on the pool deck at 645 am. Next week will be rough!

Today we are asked What advice would you give yourself when you first started writing?

The first and best advice I would give myself is to keep writing. Don’t give up no matter what. Even if you don’t feel inspired, keep writing. Even if it’s only ten words, you wrote those ten words and that’s important.

This past week I was in a writing contest and I had the hardest time writing. I didn’t feel inspired, I was tired but I showed up. Some days I only wrote a sentence, but I stuck to it. Even though I didn’t finish in time, I still want to continue this short story so I will keep going until it’s done.

Don’t give up when it’s hard. Don’t give up at all. Keep writing.

That’s it for me today, now continue on the hop to see what advice the incredible PG Forte would give herself. Until next time!

PG Forte has a story in this contemporary romance anthology. Don’t forget to preorder Love and Espresso

Love and Espresso

This collection features meet-cutes that take place in a bookstore/coffee shop. The heroines are looking for their HEA but never expected it to happen while picking up a cup of coffee or picking out their next book boyfriend.
