Romance Writers Weekly – Where In The World?

Hello and welcome! I was off last week, but now I’m back! (from outer space, haha.) I just came from a weekend spent in the insanely hot hills of central California where a group of nine of us decided to race the Spartan Super race. It was 8.9 miles up and down steep hills, 25 obstacles one of which included army crawling through mud under barbed wire! Good thing we all had water and gatorade gels to keep us hydrated. It was a lot of fun and a great experience, one I would probably do again, maybe. I know… I’m insane.

This week it’s just two of us and I asked: If you had to live in one country the rest of your life, besides the one you live in now, which country would it be and why?

I would say Canada, but I’ve lived there for six years and now I’m back in the U.S. I loved Canada, it got under my skin and I will always want to return there. St. John’s holds a special place in my heart.

However, if I had to choose another country it would probably be Italy or London. I’ve traveled to both, Italy on our honeymoon and London for a two week vacation. They both stuck with me.

I loved walking all around Italy and immersing myself in the culture. Florence was my favourite! The scenery, the food and of course the wine!Florence, Italy

Now I don’t know if I loved London so much because I read about it in romance novels, or the fact that I am writing one with part of it being in London, but I would go back in a heartbeat. It was one of the best vacations of my life! IMG_0421

In fact I would probably do a home exchange at one point when all the kids are grown and we can be away for six months. We would definitely stay in Italy or London for half a year and just live.

The hard decision now is to choose which one I could live in for the rest of my life. Italy or London? I’ll have to think about that!

Where would the lovely and talented A.S. Fenichel spend the rest of her life? Continue on the hop to find out, until next time!

  1. It’s a tough choice, but look at it this way, If you lived it London you could save Italy for pure pleasure. 😀
