Welcome to the blog hop everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA. Even though swim team has finished for a couple of weeks, it’s been busy! I’m trying to get everything organized, both my kids are in elementary school now, and it’s weird having time to myself. I’ve decided to study to become a personal trainer. I’m very nervous, but I love to work out and I think it’s a good step forward for me.
Today we are asked if we have any favourite (or least favourite) tropes?
I do love enemies to lovers. That’s one of the best. I also enjoy fake dating, met before but haven’t seen each other in years, and strong heroines. Ohhh forbidden love is another good one! The enemies to lovers is one of my favs because of all the tension and back and forth between to two characters. I’m reading an ARC right now and it’s enemies to lovers, it caught my attention right away and all I want to do is sit and read it.
I don’t really like whiny heroines who can’t do anything for themselves. That drives me nuts. There was a book I read earlier this year and I almost didn’t finish it because the hero never trusted the heroine and he just walked all over her. Not my cup of tea.
There are so many tropes out there. I wrote a second chance one a while back, and my first novel was not enemies to lovers, but they didn’t like each other and it was a forced marriage. I’d like to see if I can write another novel after I finish my personal trainer exam.
