Romance Writers Weekly ~ Time to Reset

Welcome back to the blog hop! I was out last week because I competed in a wiring competition. This time it was a rhyming one. My genre was fairytale/fantasy and my theme was when pigs fly. I hope I did okay, there was a lot going on last week. I felt like it could have turned out better, but I did enjoy writing it.

Here’s our topic today: What do you do in September to reset yourself after the crazy days of summer? What routines do you restart?

Hah! I wish I could reset… We end swim team and start school all in July! It is a crazy month. I try to get back on track the 2 weeks in August I have off before swim clinics starts again.

I try to get back on track with laundry and going through my house. I’ve gone through my kids rooms a couple of times and gotten rid of clothes, books, and toys. Right now I’m in the process of cleaning out our room right now. We put in hardwood floors 3 years ago and I had moved some things upstairs and they were still sitting there! Old papers and magazines were in piles.

It will take me a while to go through everything. My house feels like a big giant mess hole right now. It’s hard because my son is a messy person and always tells me it doesn’t have to be perfectly clean. I laugh at him because I am nowhere near as clean as my mom and mother in law.

Anyway, I’m still deep in resetting mode. The kids have their fall break coming up and they will be home, so I’m trying to get things done before they’re at home ALL day.

That’s it for me today, continue on the hop to see what the incredible Leslie Hachtel does to restart. Until next time!
