Oh my goodness, welcome back to the blog hop! At first my blog had some kind of weird extra items attached to the website, so I couldn’t even access it! It took a couple of weeks to figure out what to do. It was annoying because I missed some good topics. Then I’ve been in chlorine allllll summer. So many practices and lessons. Sometimes I’m in the pool 3 times a day! It’s been crazy. I’m a little tired of the pool which is hard for me because I still like to swim. Now I’m happy to be back, yay. 🙂
Today we talk about what’s more romantic: a slow burn under the summer sun or a whirlwind July affair?
Oooooh now that’s a good question! I’d have to say it totally depends on my mood. I tend to love slow burns though. They are one of my favorite types of romance. I just enjoy every part of those stories. The two meet, they slowly start to find things they like about each other, a kiss here, a touch there, then more as the heat intensifies….
Everything about a slow burn is just that, an achingly slow passionate encounter. Authors that write these types of stories have a true art of the craft. I find writing a slow burn a little difficult, but I’d like to attempt it again. One of my favourite slow burns is Anne of Green Gables, I love the chemistry between Anne and Gilbert. What’s your favourite slow burn stories? Let me know in the comments.
That’s it for me today, now continue on the hop to see what the incredible Leslie Hachtel likes better. Until next time!

Neasa MacKenzie wants to have an adventure. Living and working in the sixteenth century at Eilean Donan castle, she is lucky enough to meet Skye and Harper, both from the future. And they have a way for her to travel to their time. It is also a chance to check on Davina, a villainous woman who managed to go to the future and might pose a risk.
What she doesn’t anticipate is meeting the love of her life and facing untold risks, as well as experiencing the present day through the eyes of one from hundreds of years ago.
Facing tests of courage and strength, can she hold on to all she has found or will she be thrown back to a past that threatens?
