Memorial Day is next Monday. Tell us a story of someone in your family who served.
I really only know of two people who served on my mom’s side of the family. My mom’s uncle served in Vietnam but he was killed when he was only 21 years old. I’ve heard stories about him and how vibrant and full of life he was, handsome too.
Then my grandpa served in Korea between high school before going to College. My grandpa was an amazing man. He became a great architect once he finished university. I wish he were still around today so I could ask him more questions.
I have quite a few friends that serve in some way or another and I have the utmost respect for them. I know we all get together for a vacation or BBQ, but I hope that we are all thinking about the people in our families that served, or friends that are no longer with us.
