Welcome to the blog hop! It’s been a busy couple of weeks and I’m ready for things to slow down. We’re still deep into sports, but soccer ends this week and swimming next week. I can’t believe Halloween is next Friday and then we are into the holidays! It’s crazy how fast this year went by.
What real-life experineces have inspired your romance writing?
My parents have always had a wonderful relationship and showed us what love really means. We were super lucky to see their experiences and know what we should look for in a partner. I know many who don’t have that chance.
I’ve always watched my friends, or just people around me and their interactions with love. There’s always the meet cute, and when I get to know people, I like to find out how they met. Some stories are just so fun!
While living in St. John’s and its beautiful surrounding countryside, I felt the stirring of something creative. Living here was romantic and it spurned me to write a novel set in St. John’s. It’s still one of my favourite places to visit.
That’s it for me today, now hop on over to Leslie Hachtel’s page to see what inspired her. Don’t forget to grab her book Payback. Until next time!

What’s better for Halloween than a story about a serial killer?
When Beth Abbott returns to her small home town and joins the local police department, she has very low expectations. Things look up when she finds she is working with Tom Brady, the high school hero who barely noticed her before.
Then, an old woman is found dead, brutalized. And then another and another. Instead of laborious police work, Beth and Tom find themselves tracking a serial killer who chooses victims from the elderly.
The police chief is unwilling to get outside help, and so the two detectives are on their own in trying to solve these heinous crimes.
In the process, they find each other and fall in love. Of course, there are definite complications along the way.
