Welcome to the weekly blog hop! I’m surprised that I’m awake enough to write this post as I’ve just participated in a Spartan Beast race this past weekend. It was a 16.5 mile race with 38 obstacles in northern Lake Tahoe, which included climbing walls, ropes, under barbed wire and swimming in a 40F degree lake! It was fun and my husband and I did it together, but we are exhausted and cannot move a muscle. If you want to know what we did, check this out: https://www.spartan.com/en/media/video/live-archive
So if you missed what the amazing Leslie Hachtel had to say, just click and pop back. I’m the instigator today and I’ve asked my fellow writers to:
Write a poem about summer ending.
I love to write poetry and have been doing it since junior high. I wrote two for today. The first one I wrote is a Haiku and the second one I wrote is an Acrostic.
Summer into Fall
The crisp wind blows in
Green leaves turn to red and orange
Fall is in the air
Sunny summer days
Umbrellas to keep cool
Many fun memories
More waves splash
Everyone jumps in
Relaxing all together
TO
Fall comes blowing in
As the pumpkins show up
Leaves fall like rain drops
Light fades from day
Thanks for stopping by and reading my poetry, I hope you’ve enjoyed it. Now continue on the hop and see what the lovely Dani Jace has written. Until next time!
