Good Tuesday afternoon! I hope the words are flowing from your fingers onto the computer or paper. It’s blog hop day and we are talking about romance. (We love anything and everything to do with romance.)
We have a blog hop going on each week. All of us authors get asked a question and we respond, hopping from one person to the next. If you missed what Meggan Connors had to say, just click and pop back. I have provided today’s topic, enjoy!
Romance. There are many different meanings. What does it mean to you?
When I thought of this topic I decided to search the definition of romance. This is what I got:
ro·mance
(rō-măns′, rō′măns′)
n.
1. a. A love affair: His romance with her lasted only a month.
b. Ardent emotional attachment or involvement between people; love: They kept the romance alive in their marriage for 35 years.
3. a. A long medieval narrative in prose or verse that tells of the adventures and heroic exploits of chivalric heroes: an Arthurian romance.
4. a. An artistic work, such as a novel, story, or film, that deals with sexual love, especially in an idealized form.
b. The class or style of such works.
adj. Romance Of, relating to, or being any of the languages that developed from Latin, including Italian, French, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish.
Wow! So many connotations for one little word. My favorite definitions were, a love affair and the romance languages.
