This week’s topic comes from Leslie Hachtel. She asks us: If you could have lunch with any writer (living) and just chat about stuff, who would you choose and what do you think you would talk about?
One of my all time favourite writers is Meg Cabot. I would love to get together with her and just talk about everything! I would ask her how she comes up with so many great ideas for her books. I just finished reading her Mediator Series and it was fabulous! I couldn’t put down the 7 books. I also love her Boy Series, she has another one coming out this fall!
I got to see her in person once, but lunch would be the perfect time to sit and relax and get to know each other. I would ask her writing process and what inspires her. I bet she would have a lot of very useful information. I think we’d also talk about our favourite movies and what else we like to do besides writing. Plus it would be awesome to have a chance to be in her presence and learn more about her.
She has written romance, young adult, children and adult fiction. Each genre she’s written is amazing and I love how she is able to cross different genres. I have to say that I will never tire of reading her books, even when I’m older. If only having lunch with Meg Cabot could be a reality! How incredible would that be!
