Romance Writers Weekly – Let’s Get Crafty

Hello and welcome to the blog hop! The weather is getting a “tiny” bit cooler and we might have some rain on Wednesday! I have to say, I’m ready for cooler weather. Shorts and a sweatshirt maybe, or jeans and a tank top would be nice. If you missed what the incredible Leslie Hachtel had to say, just click and pop back.

This week the amazing Dani Jace asks us:

Tis the season for craft fairs. Do you do any crafting, if so what? If not, what’s the favourite thing that you’ve purchased at a craft fair or just a fair.

I used to work at a clay studio every week when I lived in St. John’s. I really enjoyed it. I got to use the facilities for free and use my creativity to create many different art pieces. However, even after all these years, I still can’t make a perfect bowl…

Other than that, I really don’t do any crafting. My mom does a lot of sewing and makes all these crafts. She is one talented woman. The things she can make are amazing. I keep trying to get her to sell her crafts on Etsy or some other sight.

I love going to craft fairs! We have some pretty awesome ones here in northern California. We recently went to one and bought a mermaid wooden sign that says “A salty pirate lives with his beautiful mermaid.” It’s something fun for the house. There is another one coming up this weekend, and I’m looking forward to seeing what other types of crafts I can find for Christmas gifts or just for around the house.

When we lived in St. John’s we bought this awesome wooden vast with paper flowers. It is really cool and has always been placed near the front of the house. I hope we can find something else at the next craft fair.

Well that is it for me today. Now continue on the hop to see what the lovely Dani Jace has to say. Until next time!
