Welcome to the blog hop! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
If you missed what the amazing Caro Kinkead had to say, just click and pop back.
Today the wonderful A.S. Fenichel asks us:
What inspires you? Do you or did you have a mentor, parent or friend who you credit with making you the person you are today? It doesn’t have to be a person: music, art….
There are many things that inspire me. Some days it’s harder than others, but I know at some point inspiration will strike. Most times scenery will get my creative juices flowing and I will write a poem about something I’ve seen.
I’ve been writing poetry for a very long time, but when I first started writing novels and short stories, I had no idea what I was doing. I had a friend in Canada who helped me out tremendously! She is incredible and taught me many things about writing and publishing. If you haven’t checked out Victoria Barbour, you should. Her Heart’s Ease series is amazing!

Sometimes when I’m listening to a certain song, it will become a scene in one of my stories. Or one of my short stories had a man posing on a couch just like George Costanza did in Seinfeld, it was hilarious!
My parents have always been supportive of my writing and like to read it and give feedback. I always appreciate that.
Well that’s it for me today. Now continue on the hop to see who inspires the incredible Leslie Hachtel. Until next time!
Don’t forget to check out Leslie Hachtel’s book The Defiant Bride on sale now for just .99 cents!

William awakes from his injury to be told he imagined the beautiful woman in the forest. Besotted and determined to make her his own, he hunts her down and tricks her into marrying him, intent on turning her defiance into love. But even as he begins to succeed, their enemies join forces to end the marriage—even if it means that Dariana must die.
When Dariana is abducted, William must track her down to fight for her life and their happiness. And, Dariana, once the most defiant of brides, must channel her own strength of will into survival, both for herself—and for the child she now carries.
