Romance Writers Weekly – If Your Life Was A Romance Novel.

Another week, another blog! This past weekend has somehow disappeared from me. I have no idea where it went. One moment I was ready to write, do chores, read, get ready to coach and the next I realized the weekend was gone. Hopefully I will get some of the many things on my to do list done this week.

We have a blog hop going on each week. All of us authors get asked a question and we respond, hopping from one person to the next. If you missed what Dani Jace had to say just click and pop back. Today my wonderful friend Victoria Barbour asks us: If your life was a romance novel, what sub-genre would it be, and why would your hero be amazing? Also, what would you call it? Can you write a blurb for it?

WELL wouldn’t that be nice! Romance, romance everywhere! How fun would it be to have your life be a romance novel? I think my sub-genre would be regency. I can imagine myself easily in contemporary, but I think it would be much more fun to live hundreds of years ago. I would definitely have a tall handsome, dark haired, blue eyed hunk of a man! Kind of like Ian Somerhalder. YUM. My hero would be amazing because he would be strong, caring, have a sense of humour, and great at sex, hehe. 😉 Hey, my life is a romance novel, why not have the best sex ever?

The title is always something that is hard for me. I don’t know what to call this one, hmmmm.

Lady Jenna knows what she wants in life and she doesn’t need a man to tell her what to do. Married and widowed to a man she didn’t love, she has no time to be saddled down with a new man. But when she has problems with the business she owns, she must enlist the help of her long time friend Viscount Christopher.

Christopher Da Sie has always watched over Lady Jenna. He has secretly loved her as long as he’s known her. He stayed in the shadows when she married another man and waited. Once she was free, Christopher vowed to have her, body, mind and soul.

When they come together, hilarity and adventures ensure. They never expect to fall in love with each other. When the threat of a long uncovered secret is revealed, can they remain true to each other?

That’s it for me today! Thank you Victoria for the great question. Don’t forget to check her two books out in print, Against Her Rules and Hard As Ice! Now continue on the hop and see what the incredible S.C. Mitchell has to say about his romance life. Until next time!

  1. Would it be like being on a perpetual holiday? Nice to start, but then you have to find something to do? But a regency heroine is a favourite of mine for sure.

  2. This sounds fascinating, especially the married and widowed to a man she didn’t love. You have a great heroine’s name, by the way.
