Welcome everyone, I hope the fall is treating you well. I just came back from a trip to Disneyland! It was just me and my sister and it was so much fun! We got on all the rides we wanted to and the longest wait we had was 30 min. It was kind of crazy how few people were there. We went Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The time we got to spend together was really nice and I’ll treasure it forever.
Here is our topic for today: Evening is falling sooner and the dark days of winter are near. What do you do to keep yourself busy?
This time of year is hard because it really does start getting dark around 4:30/5 pm. When we were in Disneyland it got dark at 5 and we started yawning but then realized we shouldn’t be tired because there were still 5 hours of the park left!
I try to get all my things done during the daylight and then spend the early evening time either cleaning, picking up the kids or reading. It’s hard for my kids because they want to keep playing outside after school but it gets dark so early! I tend to let them stay out a bit longer since it isn’t really late yet, just dark.
When it starts to get colder, then I have a hard time with being outside. I’d rather stay inside with a cup of coffee and a good book or show. It’s a cloudy day today and only 11 am but it feels like it’s already getting dark, sometimes it’s weird with such short days.
Well that’s it for me today, continue on the hop to see what the incredible PG Forte does to keep herself busy in the waning light. Until next time!
