Romance Writers Weekly – Dog Days of Summer

Our baby girl has arrived! She decided to come a couple of days late, like her brother, but it was a pretty good labour. We named her Finnley Rose and she is just the most wonderful little missus ever. Our family is now complete! I’ve been away tending to her and my son, but they are both resting right now so I will take my chances and try to write this blog post!

If you missed what the talented Dani Jace had to say, just click and pop back.

Today the lovely Dani asks us:

We are entering the “dog days” of summer in my area. Do you have pets? What type and how many? Do you write pets into your stories?

It really is hot here in northern California! I’m definitely ready for fall weather. I like warm weather but when it’s 40C/100F that’s just too hot!

We don’t have any pets, but I’ve always wanted a chocolate lab! I’ve seen the labradoodles and would definitely get one of those. They don’t shed which is good because I shed enough for everyone, haha. Labradoodles are just so nice looking. My husband used to have a poodle/bichon mix and he loved him!

We just had out second child so for now I think we will just stick to the four of us. I never had a dog growing up, but I did have a fish…I would love to get a dog in the future. I figure when my son is around 9 or 10 and my daughter is 4 or 5. If we did get a chocolate labradoodle, I would want to name it Fudge!

I don’t have any cats or dogs in my stories yet, but one of my heroines loves horses! Whenever she gets the chance to sneak out, she will go to the stables and visit the horses. Maybe in the next story I write will have a favourite pet for the hero or heroine.

Well that’s it for me, my little one just woke up and is ready to eat. Continue on the hop to see what the amazing Brenda Margriet has to say. Until next time! (Which will hopefully be next week.)
