Good morning everyone! I hope your week has treated you well. There was a warm front over here where it got really nice for almost a week, then I had to start coaching spring clinic for swim, the temperature plummeted! My first day was yesterday and I was covered in a parka, toque and boots! I love the cooler weather, but I was so cold.
Today we are asked: Other than writing, what creative things do you do? How do they spark your imagination?
I enjoy pottery. I did some in high school, and when I moved to Canada, I couldn’t work for a while, then I found a clay studio down the street from my house. It was a lot of fun working in the studio. Since I volunteered, I was able to use the studio for free. I’m not great at making pottery, but I sure had a lot of fun creating different lopsided bowls or sea creature looking things.
I also love to take pictures, I don’t do it as often anymore but there’s so many unique creative landscapes, architecture and people you can capture. This can strike my imagination into a story or a character quite easily.
A new hobby would be really great, like knitting, but I’m knee deep in studying to become a personal trainer. I wake up, study, go to the gym, study, coach or teach swim lessons, study, eat dinner and put the kids to bed, study. I hope I’ll be ready for my test in April/May and then I’ll get my evenings back and find something creative to do.
Well that’s it for me today. Now continue on the hop to see what the talented Leslie Hachtel does for creativity. Until next time!
