Romance Writers Weekly ~ Character Choices

Welcome to the blog hop! We’re almost finished up with swim team. We only have one more week…it’s crazy how fast this summer went by. My kids start school next week! My son goes into Jr. High and my daughter into 1st grade. I don’t know where the time has gone.

Today we are asked: What book would one of your main characters bring on a beach trip — and what does that say about that character?

My main character from Wrongfully Wed would bring the Song on the Lioness Quartet with her to the beach. It’s about a headstrong woman who changes her fate to become a knight. She follows her own rules and eventually becomes a knight.

That’s how I’ve always written my characters, strong and uncompromising about how she wants her life to be. Rowan always does things her way and doesn’t need a man to help her. I think she would enjoy reading this quartet. Of course she would enjoy all this sitting in the sand with a glass of wine.

If you haven’t read the Song on the Lioness Series, you really should! I revisit the book every couple of years. It might be time to do it again this year. There are many other books that my main character would probably love to read, but this is the book that first popped into my head.

That’s it for me today, now continue on the hop to see which book the incredible PG Forte‘s characters would choose. Until next time!
