Hello fellow readers! I hope everyone is doing well. Only a couple more weeks and my son goes on his fall break. I think we are going to try to get away and visit the beach. It might be cold, but it will be nice to get out of town for a couple of days.
I’m the instigator of todays topic and I pose this question to my fellow authors:
If your favourite book hasn’t been made into a movie yet, who would you cast as the characters?
One of my all time favorite books is Alanna the First Adventure from the Song of the Lioness Series. It’s all about a woman who trades places with her brother and disguises herself as a man to train and become a knight. I absolutely love this series by Tamora Pierce. I’ve reread it so many times. There are four books in this series. Ms. Pierce has written a whole universe set in Tortall, if you haven’t had the chance to read these books, you should check them out!
This is such a hard choice. I spent a long time yesterday looking for the perfect cast of people. For the heroine I think I would choose Sophie Turner. She has the red hair that Alanna has. I think she would be a strong, feisty, independent woman to bring Alanna of Trebond to life.
For Prince Jonathan of Conte I would choose either Ian Somerhalder, Colin O’Donoghue or Chris Pine. Prince Jonathan is a tall dark haired man with blue eyes. I think any one of these men would do justice to his character.
Alanna’s brother Thom doesn’t want to be a knight and he goes to train as a sorcerer. I see Eddie Redmayne as this character.
For Alanna’s other love interest George, I can see actor Charlie Hunnam. He’s a constant by her side throughout everything.
There are many other characters and I could go on and on. Harrison Ford or Liam Neeson as Coram, Alanna and Thom’s caretaker when they were young.
Again I urge you, if you haven’t read this series you definitely should!
That’s it for me today, if you missed what the incredible Leslie Hachtel had to say, just click and pop back.
Now continue on the hop to see what favourite book the amazing A.S. Fenichel would have as a movie. Until next time!
I can’t wait to read A.S. Fenichel’s newest release, Not Even For a Duke!
